Scopa is played with the 40 card Italian deck, ten cards per suit. You capture a table card by playing a card of the same value, or several cards whose values add up to it: a seven takes a seven, but it also takes a five together with a two. Clear the whole table and that is a Scopa: one point.

At the end of each hand the scoreboard shows the result line by line, with nothing hidden:
+ Denari - who captured the most cards in that suit
+ Primiera - the per suit calculation that turns matches around when you least expect it
+ Cards - who captured the most cards overall
+ Settebello - the seven of Denari
+ Scopa - one point for every table you sweep

That makes it easy to compare every line, see who earned the point and plan the next hand.

Primiera is the line that has been splitting tables for generations: you take the best value in each suit, and it often decides the hand exactly when Cards and Denari are tied. Here it is calculated according to the traditional rules, without shortcuts.
